Sam Boyer on the migration to git on Drupal.org

Sam Boyer (aka sdboyer) gives a retrospective on the process of migrating drupal.org's version control infrastructure to git. He talks about the momentum throughout the different phases, and how moving to an agile project management process helped bring the project to completion. He also discusses git sandboxes and how people are using them for three different use cases of experimentation, forks of existing projects, or non-module scripts or things that won't ever become full drupal.org projects. Finally, he talks about some of the open questions around deploying drupal sites by using git clones of modules from drupal.org, as well as how git will be used in the future of core and contributed module development.
